Description

This comprehensive CT Angiography (CTA) training course offers in-depth insights into cerebrovascular imaging, including Ischemia, Hemorrhage, and Venous Pathology.

Day 1 focuses on ischaemia, covering CTA techniques, anatomy, and occlusion patterns.
Day 2 explores haemorrhage, including CT bleed patterns and vascular anomalies like aneurysms and AV malformations.
Day 3 covers venous pathology, from sinus anatomy and thrombosis to conditions like pulsatile tinnitus and trauma.

This is a perfect course for radiologists looking to enhance their expertise in CT Angiography.

Each session will start with a lecture. After the lecture you will be challenged with practicing on real-life anonymised key cases from the TMC Academy teaching file. Reporting templates including recognized standardized rating scales will be used to help write adequate reports.

The individual case readings will be followed by Dr. Tony Goddard's interpretations, questions, and comments, along with a group discussion.

TMC Academy online radiology fellowships are held in a virtual classroom environment on Zoom. Participants are encouraged to engage in discussions making use of their camera and microphone in order to recreate the face-to-face experience. Online live sessions are recorded so that participants can review on their own time following the training.

In this small group environment among your peers, you are free to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn together with the support of the radiologist mentor.

Accreditation & CME Certificate

This radiology fellowship is organised by TMC Academy, an EACCME Trusted Provider. An application has been made to the UEMS/EBR for CME accreditation for this training.

Learning Objectives

Master CTA Techniques and Imaging Protocols: Understand the technical aspects of CT angiography, including proper acquisition methods, contrast use, and imaging of key cerebrovascular structures (MCA, ACA, carotid, posterior circulation). Interpret Ischaemia and Occlusion Patterns: Assess collateral circulation and parenchymal changes in ischaemic stroke, and recognize occlusion patterns in the major cerebral arteries (MCA/ACA, carotid, posterior circulation). Identify and Characterize Haemorrhage and Vascular Abnormalities: Recognize CT patterns of intracranial haemorrhages, aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and dissecting aneurysms, and understand their clinical significance. Evaluate Venous Pathologies: Assess venous sinus anatomy, identify thrombosis, stenosis, and other venous abnormalities on CTA, and understand their clinical implications. Apply CTA in Trauma and Miscellaneous Conditions: Utilize CTA to investigate conditions such as pulsatile tinnitus, trauma, and developmental venous anomalies, while recognizing common diagnostic challenges and integrating findings for clinical decision-making.
