Imaging of Small Bowel Masses
The diagnosis of small-bowel masses, particularly early detection and differential diagnosis, is still somewhat challenging, although many sensitive direct and indirect techniques have been adopted.
CT and MR enterography are an accurate, well-tolerated imaging modalities with which to diagnose or exclude small-bowel masses in symptomatic patients with negative upper and lower endoscopy findings.
Radiologists should therefore be familiar with the appearance of various small-bowel neoplasms and their mimickers.

Dr. Masselli is the the author of over 100 articles and book chapters, he has delivered over 200 invited lectures at international meetings including ECR and RSNA and has co-organised several national and international teaching courses and workshops.
He concentrates his research on translating innovations in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) into clinical practice.
In recognition his contribution to education and research in radiology, he was elected a Fellow of European Society of Urogenital Radiology (ESUR), of the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR) and of the International cancer imaging society (ICIS), respectively.
