EACCME Accreditation and Trusted Provider Status

Internationally recognised CME credits for high-quality, evidence-based clinical training.

EACCME-Accredited Radiology Education

At Unilabs Academy, we deliver advanced radiology education designed to support clinical excellence and lifelong professional development. Our training programmes are accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), the accreditation body of the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes (UEMS).

EACCME accreditation confirms that each educational activity has undergone independent external review and meets stringent European standards for scientific quality, educational value, and independence from commercial influence. Radiologists and other HCPs can be confident that Unilabs Academy courses are credible, evidence-based, and recognised across borders, helping meet both national and international CME requirements in diagnostic imaging.

Accredited Training & CME Credits

Each EACCME-accredited activity is assigned a defined number of European CME Credits (ECMEC®), reflecting the depth, duration, and educational rigour of the programme.

Credit Allocation by Training Format

Live Educational Events

  • Online Fellowship Courses: 9–12 CME credits
  • Onsite Fellowships: 15–35 CME credits

E-Learning

  • Webinars: 1–2 CME credits

These credits are widely recognised across Europe and may be applied toward national CME or CPD requirements, in accordance with local regulatory frameworks.

Quality Recognition by Trusted Provider Status since 2018

Since 2018, Unilabs Academy has been recognised as an EACCME Trusted Provider, reflecting a sustained commitment to high-quality radiology education.

This status confirms our adherence to:

  • High scientific and clinical standards
  • Peer review and expert faculty engagement
  • Transparent, independent educational design
  • Full compliance with UEMS-EACCME requirements

Radiologists attending Unilabs Academy courses can be confident that the education they receive is valid, verifiable, and internationally respected.

European Credit Recognition

The EACCME® has signed recognition agreements with 32 countries across Europe. These include, among others: Spain, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, Ireland, Romania, Greece, Hungary, Austria, and Turkey. This allows radiologists to use ECMEC® credits toward their professional development requirements in multiple European jurisdictions. A full list of recognised countries is available on the EACCME website here.

United Kingdom: CPD Credit Conversion

EACCME credits are directly convertible to CPD credits in the United Kingdom.

Under the agreement between UEMS-EACCME and the UK Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians:

1 CME = 1 UK CPD credit

Radiologists completing EACCME-accredited Unilabs Academy training may therefore claim equivalent CPD credits to support UK appraisal and revalidation.

International Credits Recognition (Outside Europe)

EACCME accreditation also enables recognition beyond Europe through established international agreements.

United States

Through the cooperation agreement between the American Medical Association (AMA) and the UEMS-EACCME:

1 ECMEC® = 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™

Radiologists may convert EACCME credits for use within the US CME system, subject to AMA requirements.

Canada
