The “Focal Liver Lesions: the Basics with CT & MRI” course, specifically aimed at young residents/registrars and radiologists who are new to abdominal imaging, provides a comprehensive overview of CT and MRI imaging techniques for evaluating liver lesions, focusing on their essential principles.
Participants will learn the basics of liver MRI protocols and the importance of the multiphasic technique for accurate lesion detection and characterization. The course will cover cystic and solid lesions in the non-cirrhotic liver and introduce the Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System (LI-RADS) for standardized lesion reporting in most patients with chronic liver diseases.
Formal lectures will be presented, followed by case-based review sessions, simulating the reading room experience, to develop appropriate skills for the differential diagnosis of patients with hepatic diseases. Each day, attendees will be provided with approximately 20 cases to review independently, and then jointly to fine-tune their ability to recognize and characterize liver lesions.
TMC Academy online radiology fellowships are held in a virtual classroom on Zoom. Participants are encouraged to engage in discussions using their camera and microphone to recreate the face-to-face experience. In this small group environment among your peers, you are free to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn together with the support of the radiologist mentor. Recordings available after each live session.
