Former Chairman of the Radiological Department in AZ St. Jan Brugge, Bruges, Belgium. Vice-president of the Erasmus Verein which is organizing the Erasmus Courses in Europe. Has more than 30 years of experience in Head and Neck imaging. Author of 250 peer-reviewed articles, 5 books and 50 book chapters in the field of Head & Neck and Neuroradiology. Gave more than 1250 invited lectures and workshops at major international meetings and courses. Was president of the European Society of Head and Neck (ESHNR) and received the Gold-Medal Lifetime Achievement from this Society in 2018 and also became Honorary Member of the European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR) in 2024.
