With over 20 years of experience in cardiovascular imaging, previously he has been working in the radiology department at Vall d'Hebron Hospital (Barcelona) as a specialist radiologist and initiated his research activities in collaboration with the basic research department of the cardiology Department. During this time, he spearheaded the implementation of cardiac MRI as an imaging technique for diagnosing cardiovascular pathologies in daily clinical practice and actively participated in two main research lines on aortic pathology and myocardial infarction. He obtained European Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Accreditation (Level III) from the European Society of Cardiology (EACVI). In 2019, he became the head of the cardiothoracic imaging at Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona and joined the research group of medical imaging at Insitut d’investigació Biomèdica de Girona. He concurrently engages in research and clinical assistance while also teaching as a professor at the Faculty of Medicine and the Escuela Politécnica Superior (Biomedical Engineering Degree) at the University of Girona. (IDIBGI). He also serves as director of the theoretical training course in radiology, endorsed by the Catalan Society of Radiology and the Academy of Medical Sciences of Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, as well as the advanced theoretical training course in imaging diagnosis accredited with 12 ECTS
