Description

This level 3 Cardiac CT Imaging course is an immersive online programme designed for cardiologists, radiologists, and healthcare professionals aiming to deepen their expertise in cardiac CT imaging. Participants will master advanced techniques, including coronary CT angiography (CCTA), plaque characterization, myocardial perfusion imaging, and the evaluation of structural heart diseases.

The curriculum combines didactic lectures, hands-on training, and case-based learning, with exposure to material from state-of-the-art imaging technologies. Sessions will focus on CT technique, scan acquisition, post-processing, and interpretation under the guidance of expert faculty. Structured reporting and comprehensive case reviews will reinforce diagnostic proficiency and integration with clinical data.

This fellowship is ideal for professionals looking to elevate their cardiac imaging skills and apply them in clinical practice.

TMC Academy online radiology fellowships are held in a virtual classroom on Zoom. Participants are encouraged to engage in discussions making use of their camera and microphone to recreate the face-to-face experience. In this small group environment among your peers, you are free to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn together with the support of the radiologist mentor.

Cardiac CT Certification
This radiology course is organised by TMC Academy, an EACCME Trusted Provider. An application has been made to the UEMS/EBR for CME accreditation for this training.

Learning Objectives

• Master Advanced Cardiac CT Techniques: Gain proficiency in acquiring and interpreting cardiac CT images, including coronary CT angiography (CCTA) and myocardial perfusion imaging. • Understand Coronary and Non-Coronary Pathology: Learn to evaluate coronary anatomy, detect and characterize plaque, and assess non-coronary cardiac structures such as valves, myocardium, and pericardium. • Apply Advanced Imaging Protocols: Implement advanced imaging techniques, including dual-energy CT, calcium scoring, and fractional flow reserve (FFR) CT, in the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. • Enhance Diagnostic Accuracy: Integrate cardiac CT findings with clinical data to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient management decisions in coronary artery disease and structural heart conditions. • Develop Post-Processing Skills: Acquire expertise in post-processing techniques, including 3D reconstruction, stent evaluation, and plaque analysis, using advanced imaging software. • Interpret Complex Clinical Cases: Analyze complex cardiovascular cases, recognizing common interpretation pitfalls and refining report generation for comprehensive diagnosis. • Gain Multimodality Imaging Insight: Strengthen understanding of how cardiac CT integrates with other imaging modalities like MRI, echocardiography, and nuclear imaging for comprehensive cardiovascular evaluation. • Achieve Proficiency in Structured Reporting: Learn to generate precise and structured cardiac CT reports that enhance communication with clinical teams.

Level
Level III - Subspecialisation training

This fellowship is ideal for general radiologists; also for cardiologist with basic skills in Cardiac CT; trainee should be already initially acquainted with general Cardiac CT for basic indications; this fellowship is also going to be ideal for residents who already entered an initial fellowship training in general Cardiovascular imaging.
