Description

The fellowship will cover the entire field of CT-based stroke imaging, including NCCT, CTA and CTP. Emphasis will be on the combined utilization of NCCT, CTA and CTP in a comprehensive stroke imaging package for ischemic stroke and NCCT and CTA for hemorrhagic stroke.

The area will be illustrated by a number of illustrative cases, highlighting the combined utilization of NCCT, CTA and CTP and addressing some clinical challenges in stroke imaging including rare causes of stroke as well as some of the most important differential diagnosis and pitfalls. Vascular anatomy and physiology will be included when necessary to understand the implications on imaging and vice versa.

Selected topics will be presented in a lecture format, as well as by representative cases on different level of complexity intend to illustrate some of the challenges in the field - participants will review the images, first by themselves and then together with the mentor and the group.

The aim is to reproduce the reading room experience, simulating and condensing full-length neuroradiology fellowship programs.

TMC Academy online radiology courses are held in a virtual classroom on Zoom. Participants are encouraged to engage in discussions making use of their camera and microphone to recreate the face-to-face experience. In this small group environment among your peers, you are free to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn together with the support of Dr. Wasselius. Live sessions are recorded so you can review them on your own time following the training.
