Description

The dental and maxillofacial imaging fellowship aims to develop the interpretation skills of radiologists and dental professionals in imaging of the dental and maxillofacial region.

The training will cover all essential topics related to dental and maxillofacial imaging.

Lectures will include dental and maxillofacial imaging anatomy, principles of imaging modalities relevant to dental and maxillofacial imaging and recognising imaging features of common pathologies of the dental and maxillofacial region.

Case reading sessions will involve participants initially reviewing the imaging independently and then together with both the mentors and the rest of the group. The goal is to develop confidence in independent reporting by instilling a methodical approach to the review of dental and maxillofacial imaging.

At the end of this course you will have the skills to be able to independently complete comprehensive reports of imaging of the dental and maxillofacial region including being able to accurately identify and describe the imaging features of common pathologies of the dental and maxillofacial region.

Skills you will learn:
- Methodical approach to the interpretation of imaging of the dental and maxillofacial region
- Understanding of principles and application of imaging modalities relevant to dental and maxillofacial imaging
- Recognition of the imaging features of common pathologies of the dental and maxillofacial region including trauma
