Description

This mammography fellowship aims to give a thorough overview of different mammography based techniques like tomosynthesis, contrast enhanced mammography, synthetic view and breast intervention. In addition to fundamental technical considerations, state of the art and indications of each technique will be provided. Theoretical lectures will be enhanced by interactive case demonstrations.

Everyday and complicated or rare cases will help participants to become familiar with the semiology of this modality, as well as technical issues, artefacts, and pitfalls. Indications and contraindications of mammography is also very important knowledge in order to best use these methods. Special issues on intervention under mammo/tomo/CEM and BI-RADS lexicon, would also be discussed.

The participants will be provided with the reporting templates and many practical cases, prepared by the mentor. Up-to-date international recommendations, protocols, patient information would also be shared.

TMC Academy online radiology fellowships are held in a virtual classroom environment on Zoom. Participants are encouraged to engage in discussions making use of their camera and microphone in order to recreate the face-to-face experience. In this small group environment among your peers, you are free to ask questions, make mistakes, and learn together with the support of the radiologist mentor.
