Description
Diffusion-weighted imaging principles and b-value selection lead into ADC interpretation and recognition of T2 shine-through, T2 dark-through, and inverted ADC patterns. Diffusion tensor imaging, tractography, neurite orientation dispersion imaging, and high-angular-resolution diffusion imaging are then introduced.
Learning Objectives
- Explain the principles of diffusion-weighted imaging, b values, and ADC maps.
- Recognise common diffusion artefacts and misleading signal patterns.
- Describe the clinical roles of DTI, tractography, NODDI, and HARDI.
