Description
Pituitary MRI protocol, normal anatomy and physiology, pre-contrast T1 signal, hyperplasia, and congenital abnormalities provide the foundation. A differential diagnosis of tumours and tumour-like lesions follows, together with aggressive or large masses, postoperative imaging, and treatment-related challenges.
Learning Objectives
- Apply a high-resolution MRI protocol for the sella and pituitary gland.
- Distinguish normal variation, hyperplasia, congenital lesions, adenomas, and tumour-like conditions.
- Assess aggressive mass features and recognise common postoperative imaging challenges.
