Inflammation of the CNS: 5 clues to diagnosis
With the increase in immunomodulatory therapies, autoimmune disorders and other immune-related diseases, one of the common dilemmas in everyday (neuro)radiological) practice are inflammatory disorders. Traditionally accepted as mimickers of many other disorders, including neoplastic ones, inflammatory disorders of the brain are a challenge to diagnose even with advanced imaging methods. During the webinar, the use of conventional and advanced imaging in establishing this diagnosis was presented and the diagnostic algorithm was proposed. Given that timely treatment might make difference between health and disability in these diseases, accurate and prompt diagnosis is a must-do.
